Headshots that help you stand out from the crowd

Give space for your people to express themselves - this could be through fashion, posing , storytelling and even adding personal props that have meaning to each individual. This can even be shoes, as shown in the example above.

Not too posey - Stiff, unnatural poses are out the window thanks! What we want to do is allow your uniqueness to shine. This will happen by providing an inviting experience and some gentle direction from me, your photographer.

During your headshot photoshoot we will have time to break the ice with a chat and then I’ll step you through the process of where to stand. I’ll give you some directions where needed and click click click, it’s done.

Dress to impress and comfort - encourage your team to wear clothing that represents both the workplace culture and their personalities. Wear clothing that feels good, not itchy or too tight or too loose fitting, just right. The clothing that you feel good wearing will help your feel good when you step infront of the camera.

Bring the colour - Break up the black and white shirts with solid blocks of colour. A mix of solid colours across your headshots looks fabulous.

How to prepare for your Headshot photography:

Timing - Give your team plenty of lead time ahead of photo day. This allows people to feel prepared and more comfortable. It’ll also allow time for everyone to have hair cuts, shaving maintenance and wardrobe options arranged to fit in with their photoshoot day.

Set expectations - Once your headshot photography is booked, let everyone know where they need to be and for how long. This way people can plan their workday around their photoshoot. Puts everyone’s minds at ease by letting people know that they will be able to choose their images.

Retouching - For my clients, each headshot that’s selected will get a final polish. This includes things such as reducing reflections in glasses, blemish removal, hair tidying etc. The images I supply will very much look like you at your best, with some natural edits where needed.
